autumn-ness

I have a little boy who is constantly asking to watch Christmas movies. I can hardly stand it. I absolutely love seeing his eyes light up when I give the 'okay'.  We've been watching Mickey Mouse Christmas and we're throwing in VeggieTales St. Nicholas.

However.

As much as I want to throw up our Christmas tree right now, I want to focus on each holiday this year {and in future years}.  I want to teach my babies about Thanksgiving, and all that we have to be thankful for. We have so many blessings from our most gracious God.

We're going to bake apple crisp today. It's going to be a nice chilly day 80 degrees, but who cares. Technically it's Autumn, so I win.

This weekend we went to the Berry Patch Farm right outside of Nevada. It's nothing short of perfect fall fun. There isn't much for activities for the kids, but it's still fun to pick apples and go into the pumpkin patch and pick our very own pumpkins off of the vine.
 all he wanted to do was eat the apples. real surprising.
Here's our attempt at a family photol
Testing...
 Take one
 Take two...please not Roman's face in the next couple photos...
and our comparative {since that's apparently what I've been doing this post...}
 And I totally had every intention on getting a 'brother' shot...but that attempt failed.  Oh well. Next year.

Happy Monday!
