Catching Up

Dance Dance.

We'll start with a dance party. One night last week, the three of us decided after dinner to have a pre-bedtime boogie. It was fabulous. The joy Roman had out of wiggling that delicious little body of his, a leg kick here, some air-punches there, seriously, pure delight.

That's right, I'm workin' it.

Sprinkler.

We've been playing in our 'neeeek!' sprinkler a lot lately. That's 'snake' for those of you who don't yet speak Rome-ish.

It's pretty much requested everyday that we head out to the yard and play in the water. Too bad it's been just cool enough outside this week to not play in freezing cold hose water. :( Hopefully it warms up again, past 80, soon. We want sunshine and hot weather, please!

 Memorial Day.

My mom had a fantastic get together of family and delicious food Saturday! Roman hung out in the swing and played with Uncle Poo and Aunt Brittney and trotted around the back yard like he owned the place. It's too cute how whenever my brother walked by, Roman feelt the need to say 'poo' under his breath. We dined one hot dogs, chips and applesauce. Boring, but somehow it never gets old.

Croup.

Ugh. It has invaded my baby's body yet again. Last Friday I woke up around 11pm upon hearing the struggled sounds of breathing through the monitor. We sat in a steamy bathroom and took a drive. When that didn't worked we headed to the hospital where Roman got a shot to calm down the inflammation. It was about two in the morning when we arrived back at home, and did we all go right to sleep? Nope. Nemo was calling our name. So we watched half of it before the three of us snuggled into bed to be graced with about four hours of sleep.

Saturday we took it easy. Went for a walk around the lake and watched more movies...well, okay, watched more Nemo. Sunday Roman was feeling better, but we still laid fairly low. Then Monday rolls around and my sweets woke up fussy with a fever and just wanted to lay around and snuggle. Snuggles always welcome, but this was completely out of the ordinary for him. Usually he's rip, roaring ready to go! Broke my heart to see him like this.

What do you do when you want almond milk and orange juice? You have both, of course!

Tuesday brought a healthier little and we went grocery shopping and met Jeff for other errands around town. I'm not sure why it's happening that every other day he sports a fever and extra snuggles, but those are our cards, so today we visited the chiropractor, shopped at target and came home. We played blocks, read books, and watched our favorite movie. My poor little love. I hate seeing him not feel well. Here's hoping tomorrow is better. For now I'm praying for a quiet night for all of us.
